CARTER DONATION PRINT 3

$10.00

After a visit and brief stay at Vanderbilt for what we thought was a bad sinus infection Carter was discharged with antibiotics. One day later he had a seizure which led to an ambulance to Saint Thomas West. There it was determined the infection was far more extensive than originally realized. This led to ICU stay, brain surgery along with other difficult procedures and now IV antibiotics at home for the next month.

As you can imagine, in addition to focusing on recovery, they are now facing layers of expenses as well as lost wages and the uncertainty of when he can return. Yesterday the hospital shared that he would need home health care upon being discharged and that the antibiotics alone will be close to $3000.

Carter’s first surgery was just one week ago and I am so thankful to share that he has begun his road to recovery and will have his mom by his side for the next several weeks to assist.

Bret and Diana are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support. The hospital got a glimpse of true community when they walked in and saw almost 20 people waiting and praying. Many have asked how they can help and that is why I have started this. They need our financial help. We have set a goal of $13,000 to cover the immediate medical and living expenses over the next 2-3 months until we get him back on his feet.

Anything you can contribute will help.
